Lapland Weekend

You are just visiting Kiruna for a couple of days or you would like to escape daily routine for one weekend?
Then this tour is a good choice for you. Get a glimpse of what Lapland has to offer.

Day 1

Arrival to Kiruna airport at noon or late afternoon.
Pick-up from the airport and issue of winter clothes (Overall, boots, cap, mittens).
Introduction in " how to drive a snowmobile" and take off for a snowmobile tour towards one of our wilderness camps. 
Sauna, dinner and overnight in the camp.

Day 2

After breakfast we pack our equipment and hit the trail again by snowmobile towards our homebase.
After lunch you get an introduction into driving a dogsled and "mush" your own team out to the wilderness again.
Each participant drives his own team with 3-5 Alaskan Huskies. Dinner, Sauna and overnight in a wilderness camp again.

Day 3

After breakfast we drive our dogteams back to the homebase for lunch.
If your time schedule allows you, it is possible to visit the famous Icehotel or a sami museum in Jukkasjärvi, a village just6 kmaway from our homebase (entrance fees are not included). Transfer back to airport and departure.

 

Information: The minimum age to drive the snowmobile is 18 years and a valid drivers licence is needed. On this tour, two passengers share one machine.

In case of damage we have an excess fee up to 6.000 SEK.

Departure: 1st December to 15th April, every Tuesday and Friday
