Abisko-Björkliden-Riksgränsen-Narvik

If you travel along the E10 west from Kiruna, you will come to Abisko, Björkliden, Riksgränsen, and you can also continue across the border to Narvik in Norway. For those of you who are only going to travel during the day, it may be worth looking at a combination of bus and train, depending on how many hours you want to spend at your chosen destination.

By train

If you choose to travel by train, you will experience one of the most beautiful railway parts in Sweden, which runs between Torneträsk and Riksgränsen. Vy operates trains between Kiruna and Narvik approximately twice a day all year round. For exact departures and prices, visit the Vy website. Travelling by train is the cheapest option. Tickets should be purchased in advance online, as train tickets cannot be bought at the train station or onboard the train. You can easily reach the train station with a free shuttle which departs from Kiruna Bus Station in connection to all train departures.

By bus

Länstrafikens bus 91 operates between Kiruna and Riksgränsen during June-September and February-April. For exact dates and prices, visit the Länstrafiken website. Bus ticket can be bought on the bus, card payment only. You can also buy the ticket online in advance if you prefer. The bus departs from Kiruna Bus Station, as well as one departure directly from Kiruna Airport.

Visit Abisko

By bus from Kiruna Airport and the city center Visit Abisko takes you directly to the hotels in Abisko and Björkliden.
