Kiruna – city close skiing on mount Luossavaara

If you stay in Kiruna city and want to go skiing in the evenings, the local ski hill Luossavaara fits well. Perfect after a day filled with other activities. There are three lifts, four slopes and a park with jumps and rails. From the top of the hill you have a beautiful view over the mountain world. Here you find a cafe and on the weekends they serve a yummy waffle buffet and there is also a possibility to rent ski equipment.

A large number of cross-country skiers arrive every winter to ski in and around Kiruna. Kiruna offers early snow and well-prepared trails close to the city centre, for leisure and professional skiers alike. The ski trails are illuminated on dark nights and maintained using snow grooming machines for the best possible skiing.
