The fastest way to Kiruna is to fly directly from Stockholm Arlanda. Both SAS and Norwegian operates the route all year round, allowing you to quickly get from the hustle and bustle of the city to the tranquillity of the north. The flight time is around 90 minutes, so it’s perfectly possible to have breakfast in Stockholm and land in Kiruna in time for lunch.

If you’re travelling from abroad and can’t find a direct route to Kiruna, a smart alternative is Evenes Airport (Harstad/Narvik Airport) in Norway. From here there are several direct international flights, and you can reach Kiruna in about three hours by car. The road over the mountains also offers magnificent views. The airport bus operates daily between Kiruna Airport and Kiruna city in connection with all flight departures and arrivals.

The terminal at Kiruna Airport is open during the day. The terminal opens about an hour before the first flight departure and close about 30 minutes after the last flight arrival. This means that the terminal is closed during the night. Kiruna Airport doesn’t offer any accommodation in direct connection with the airport.
The car rental companies are on site on arrival and departure. Rental car companies with offices at the airport are also available other times, but preferably within the terminal’s opening hours.
