Bus service between Kiruna and Narvik!

A new bus connection between Kiruna and Narvik improves accessibility between two of the North Calotte’s most important travel destinations. Kiruna Lappland and Visit Narvik welcome the initiative, which makes it easier for both international and national visitors to travel sustainably between Sweden and Norway.

The new bus line offers two daily departures in each direction and complements the existing train service. During the summer, when train traffic between Kiruna and Narvik is limited to one direct train per day, the bus connection provides a long-awaited addition with increased flexibility and more options for travelers.

– The bus connection between Kiruna and Narvik is now operational, making it easier than ever to travel across the border between Kiruna and Narvik. The line marks the beginning of an exciting cross-border collaboration between Sweden and Norway, bringing destinations, experiences, and people closer together, says Trond Arne Kongsli, CEO of Best Arctic Group.

Along the way, the bus passes some of the Arctic’s most famous landscapes and attractions, including Abisko, Björkliden, Riksgränsen, and the Lapponian Gate, before continuing toward Narvik’s fjord landscape. For visitors, the new connection means it will be easier to experience two countries, with a wide range of nature and travel experiences.
