Kiruna Lappland Tourist Center is operated by Kiruna Lappland Economic Association, the local destination organization (DMO) and a non-profit entity. Every visitor interaction – whether it’s a question at our reception, an activity booking, or a purchase in our souvenir shop – directly contributes to strengthening and developing Kiruna’s tourism industry and local community. All revenue is reinvested in local collaborations, sustainable tourism projects, and initiatives to make our destination even more inspiring and accessible. By visiting us, you support the entire local tourism industry, from small businesses to larger operators.

Our Services

• Bookings and permits. At our center, we assist you in booking activities and train tickets. You can also purchase hunting and fishing permits.
• Information and planning. We help you plan your days in Kiruna. We’ll provide local tips and inspiration to tailor your trip according to your interests, budget, and schedule.
• Materials and souvenirs. Our small souvenir shop features local and Kiruna-branded products and the Arctic Circle certificate. You’ll also find maps, brochures and cityplay giftcards for local shopping.
• Services and amenities. Free Wi-Fi, phone charging stations, coffee or hot chocolate, luggage storage, sledding equipment rental, and a touchscreen for browsing.

Kiruna Lappland Tourist Center is authorized by Visita, the industry and employers’ organization for Sweden’s tourism sector.

How to get here

The tourist center is located in the city centre. Parking lots close to the building. The train station is around 6 km from the tourist center. Free shuttle buses will take you to city centre.
