Northern lights dogsled tour

Welcome to join us on a Northern Lights tour with dog sledding. We will pick you up at 17.30 in Kiruna C and take you to our base in Laxforsen, outside Kiruna, not far from Jukkasjärvi. After putting on warm clothes and shoes, you are welcome to help our guides prepare the dog sled for the tour.

Once everything is organised, it’s time to get on the sled and head into the Arctic night! When the dogs are signalled to go, everything goes quiet – and all you hear is the sound of the sled and the dogs’ breathing.

We will guide you on a trip in the beautiful Lapland by Jukkasjärvi and the Torne River surroundings where evening darkness prevails so that we can make sure not to miss the chance to see the Northern Lights if the weather permits. The tour takes 3-4 hours in total (incl. transfer) and we take a break to warm soup over an open fire, eat a sandwich and talk about the nature of the surroundings.

If there is not enough snow for the sledge in October and the first few weeks of November, we run the tour with a wagon on wheels pulled by our huskies.
