Kennel visit with a short husky ride

Come and visit our world-class kennel in Kauppinen, Kiruna. Our sled dogs work incredibly hard during the winter, so it’s a fantastic sight to see our entire pack of over 100 dogs enjoying a well-deserved rest in the glow of the midnight sun.

During the summer, you’re very welcome to visit our friendly dogs and join a guided tour of the kennels. Our guides will tell you about how we train the dogs, how we feed them, how our breeding programme works, and share their own experiences from some of the world’s toughest sled dog races.

You’ll get to meet our racing dogs and, of course, play with the puppies. It’s valuable for the puppies to meet lots of different people, as this helps them develop into the friendly, sociable and cheerful huskies that are the hallmark of Lapland Wilderness Tours.

You’ll also have the chance to join us on a short ride in our summer cart, pulled by huskies, and experience the impressive strength of these amazing animals up close.
