Stay in a unique location next to the reindeer at Rensjön Guesthouse

The house is located about 30 km from Kiruna along the E:10 towards Abisko. After about a 25-minute drive across marshland, you will see the mountain range begin and, at its foot, Lake Rensjön. It is truly peaceful here, close to the mountains, with views of the bare mountains and reindeer. The reindeer live in the courtyard, which you can watch from Double Room 1 and from the living room. Under the supervision of your host, you will have the opportunity to feed them in a controlled manner.

The house consists of four single rooms upstairs with shared toilet facilities and two double rooms downstairs with shared toilet/shower facilities. In addition to a shared kitchen with freezer/fridge compartment, here you will find the heart of the house: the living room! Socialise with other guests and enjoy your morning coffee and the tranquillity of the reindeer right from your sofa.

There is Wi-Fi, free hot drinks, and self-catering in the communal kitchen. Free parking and new beds in autumn 2025, where freshly laundered bed linen and towels are always included. It is a good idea to shop before leaving Kiruna or Abisko, as Rensjön does not have its own shop. There are plenty of opportunities to photograph reindeer during your stay, and with a bit of luck you may see the Northern Lights here, as there is significantly less light pollution compared to Kiruna, for example.
