Petter made his breakthrough in 1998 with his debut album “Mitt sjätte sinne”, which was not only a commercial success but also marked a major breakthrough for Swedish hip-hop across the board. With his distinctive voice, personal lyrics and powerful stage presence, he paved the way for a whole generation of Swedish rappers.
In 2025, Petter continued to be a driving force in Swedish hip-hop by showcasing new talent. In April, he launched the project “Petter med Getter”, in which he released a new track every week alongside young rappers he admires, including “Thug” with ADAAM and “Getsnack” with Imenella. These tracks were compiled on the EP Petter med Getter, released in April 2025. This was followed in the summer by the single Vinnare featuring Estraden, which became Sweden’s official Euro 2024 song.
With over 28 years in the spotlight, Petter remains one of the most respected and influential artists in Swedish music.
