Snowshoe tour from the top of Kiruna

We start by taking the ski lift up on Kiruna’s local ski mountain Luossavaara. From here you can see almost the whole of Kiruna and in clear weather all the way to Kebnekaise, Sweden’s highest mountain.

We then walk about 3.5km back to Camp Ripan. Do not worry, it is mostly downhill. With a little luck, we will  see the northern lights dancing in the sky above us on the evening trips.

If the weather allows, we sit down and look for the northern lights with something hot to drink about halfway on the trip. If you have the camera with you, we are happy to help you with the right settings for taking pictures of the northern lights.
