Arctic Ice Fishing

After pickup at your accommodation in Jukkasjärvi and Kiruna by minibus/van, we drive to the fishing spot that looks most promising today! Some of the species that are known in the area are the famous arctic chair, Harrius, Trout, Perch and the “Swedish crocodile” Esox lucius – Nordic pike!

Your Arctic adventure begins as we welcome you to the serene beauty of Lapland’s frozen wilderness. Before we set out, your guide will lead a brief yet engaging safety introduction — ensuring that everyone feels comfortable and confident before stepping onto the ice. Your safety and enjoyment are always our highest priority.

Once we arrive at our pristine destination, we prepare our equipment and venture out onto the glistening ice. Your experienced guide will pre-drill the fishing holes, and you’ll be provided with your own fishing rod and a warm reindeer hide to rest on. As you settle in, surrounded by the vast silence of the Arctic landscape, the crystal-clear water beneath you reveals a fascinating glimpse into the life below the surface. Through the ice hole you can see the bottom and the unique marine life. With a little luck you can often see the fish through the crystal clear water.

There is no guarantee of catshing fish but our guide will do his best that you will be successful in catching fish.
