Outback Abisko, recently awarded the Sustainable Arctic Destination certification, is taking another step toward sustainability by introducing electric snowmobiles.
On December 7, Outback Abisko launched its new electric snowmobiles and the new tour, Abisko Electric Snowmobile Adventure, which allows guests to get closer to and experience the Arctic nature of the mountain landscape without the disturbing noise of traditional engines. The tour offers a combination of driving enjoyment and tranquility in a unique, quiet experience. From the moment the silence settles over the winter landscape, guests can enjoy pristine views and the feeling of being in harmony with their surroundings.
– The premiere of our electric snowmobiles was a great success. We received overwhelmingly positive feedback from our guests, who appreciated both the excellent handling, the quietness of the snowmobiles, and how easy they were to operate, says Åsa Säfström, owner and CEO of Outback Abisko.
The electric snowmobiles, model Adventure Electric by BRP Lynx, are specially designed to withstand the Arctic climate.
