KAJ is comming to the church move!

With three months to go until the Kiruna church moves to its new home, it is clear that Swedish Eurovision entry KAJ will be one of the artists taking to the stage during the event. The church move is a unique event organised by LKAB and will take place over two days between 19-20 August 2025.

For generations, the church has been an important gathering place with a special place in the hearts of many. We want the move to be a great memory and create new opportunities to meet. What better way than for KAJ to bring the sauna to Kiruna, with the warmth, joy and community they radiate. We are very happy that they want to contribute to making these days an unforgettable event, says Stefan Holmblad Johansson, project manager for the church move at LKAB.

KAJ will perform after the church move is completed for the day on 19 August. The exact time will be decided later, but sometime during the evening Kiruna residents and visitors will be able to enjoy the show.

Coming to Kiruna for the relocation of the church is fantastic, it is an event that will go down in the history books. That we get to be part of this is a memory for life. We hope that all Kiruna residents will warm up with a good sauna, because we will soon be in the square in Kiruna’s new centre and then we will sing, laugh and share the moment together,” says KAJ.

The move of the church will be live streamed and a series of activities will be organised in conjunction with the event. The programme will span three days, with more artists and features to be added and announced in the coming months. Everything is free of charge and no pre-booking is required.
