LKAB's Visitor Centre by Kiruna Lappland
When you book a guided tour with Kiruna Lappland, you will receive a confirmation with a unique booking number. This confirmation is your agreement with Kiruna Lappland and contains the products, times and conditions that you have agreed with Kiruna Lappland. You must be at least 18 years old to book/enter into an agreement with Kiruna Lappland. The confirmation will be sent to the email address you provided when booking. If you have not received confirmation, you do not have a booked tour. At the start of the tour, you must bring your booking confirmation and valid ID to show if staff need to fill in any missing information.
Public tours can be booked online via our website or on site at the Kiruna Lappland Tourist Centre. All bookings are subject to availability. Special conditions apply to school classes, youth associations and the press, see point 9. For corporate bookings against invoice for general tours, booking requests should be sent by email to minetours@kirunalapland.se.
Requests for private tours can be submitted online via our website at least 30 days before the departure date. Booking requests for tours with a desired departure date within 30 days should be sent via the form on the website or by email to minetours@kirunalapland.se. An additional administration fee will be charged for bookings with a desired departure date within 72 hours. For bookings of more than 10 tours within one year, the booking request must be sent by email.
* Identification number refers to a personal identification number (for Swedish citizens) or a number from a valid identity document issued by an authority, such as a passport or national ID card. For international guests, a driving licence number may also be accepted, provided that it is an officially issued identity document.
For private tours, a complete list of participants with first and last names and identification numbers (see section 2.3) for all participants must be sent to minetours@kirunalapland.se no later than five (5) days before the tour start time. Any deviations that require corrections (e.g. addition of names) will be made at the expense of the tour time. No compensation or tour extension will be provided for this. Changes to the participant list can be made up to five (5) days before the tour departure. For changes made later than this, the customer will be charged an administrative fee. Only people listed on the current participant list when boarding the bus may participate in the tour.
When booking a tour online or at the tourist centre reception, the full amount is payable immediately at the time of booking. This means that the full amount will be debited from your account at the time of purchase. Payment can be made via Swish or debit card. Preliminary bookings are not possible.
Registered companies may choose to pay by invoice. Kiruna Lappland invoices via email or e-invoice. The person requesting the booking is responsible for providing Kiruna Lappland with correct billing information. The invoice must be paid no later than 14 days before the tour departure date. A billing fee will be added. If Kiruna Lappland has not received full payment by the due date on the invoice, the booking will be cancelled.
If, after contacting the tourist centre, you receive a payment link by email, this must be paid within 24 hours. If payment is not made within 24 hours, your ticket will be automatically cancelled.
To be eligible for a refund, you must first contact the Kiruna Tourist Centre.

The cancellation rules below apply when cancellation insurance has been taken out. Fees for cancellation insurance, rebooking guarantee and any change and booking fees are non-refundable.

For later cancellations, 100% of the total booking amount will be charged. Cancellations must be emailed to: minetours@kirunalapland.se
In the event of unforeseen circumstances, it is possible to cancel tours outside the normal cancellation terms (section 4.1). This means that if you meet and comply with the terms and conditions, you can get up to 100% of the total amount back. Unforeseen circumstances refer to:
• Death, illness or serious accident affecting you, your fellow traveller or your immediate family.
• Another serious event beyond your control occurs, such as a major fire in your home, which means that it is unreasonable to expect you to go on your tour.
• Events affecting your flight or train that prevent you from participating in the tour. This may include, but is not limited to, cancelled or severely delayed arrivals.
You must be able to prove your inability to travel with a certificate from a doctor, authority or insurance company. The medical certificate must state the diagnosis, date of the first visit to the doctor and the reason why the doctor advises against travel. Contact with the certifying authority must have taken place before the trip was due to commence.
In order for you to receive a refund, the reason for your cancellation must generally be unforeseen, unexpected and of such a nature that you cannot reasonably be expected to complete the tour. This means, for example, that if you do not have the necessary travel documents such as a passport, visa or similar, we will not accept this as a valid reason for cancellation.
• As LKAB’s Visitor Centre is located in an operational mine, LKAB reserves the right to cancel, delay or change tours at short notice for any reason. Kiruna Lappland therefore accepts no responsibility in such cases. If the tour is cancelled, you will receive a full refund of the ticket price. No other compensation will be paid.
• Kiruna Lappland reserves the right to cancel or delay tours at short notice in the event of unforeseen circumstances. Reasons may include, but are not limited to, the guide falling ill, bus problems, traffic in the mine, weather, technical problems, etc. If the tour is cancelled, you will receive a full refund of the ticket price. No other compensation will be paid.
Booking a tour is at your own risk and discretion. Kiruna Lappland disclaims all responsibility for any consequences that a delayed or cancelled tour may entail, such as missed flights or trains, dinner reservations, booked activities, etc.

• Purchased services match the description.
• You will be informed by email of any significant changes affecting your booking.
