Journey Through Dawn – Britta Marakatt-Labba’s graphic works.

In the summer of 2025 you will meet the art of Britta Marakatt-Labba at naturum Abisko in collaboration with Kin museum. The exhibition is of graphic prints that are all based on works where Marakatt-Labba uses embroidery, appliqué, coloring of textiles and untreated fabrics.

The world-famous artist Britta Marakatt-Labba has created a rich and poetic story about the Sámi people, using needle and thread. Her works weaves together personal experiences with the global climate crisis, affecting the entire planet. The exhibition opens on June 24th at 2 PM with a presentation by Emma Petterson Juntti from Kin Museum.
