Kiruna Hugget

Kiruna Hugget is the city of Kiruna’s biggest ice fishing competition.

The event started in 1985 and takes place annually on Lake Luossajärvi in ​​central Kiruna, usually during the first half of April. The competition takes place on the west shore of Luossajärvi. Drive towards Narvik and turn right just after the Viscaria bridge, then you will be directed to a parking space. The purpose of the Kiruna Hugget is to raise money for Hockey in Kiruna. The work is voluntary and half the results go to the youth association KIFU.
