New direct flight Copenhagen-Kiruna

SAS opens a new direct route from Copenhagen to Kiruna during the winter season 2024/2025. This is the result after Kiruna Lappland, the hospitality industry companies in Kiruna and the Swedish Lapland Visitors Board have had an intensive dialogue with SAS to establish the line.

“It is an important international hub that enables international travelers to use the SAS route network to get to Kiruna in a much smoother way than before. The opportunity also opens up for the entire Öresund region to come here and experience Lapland for real,” says Peter Salomonsson, CEO of the tourism organization Kiruna Lappland.

The direct flight will start on 12 December 2024 and operate until 30 March 2025.
The flight can be booked on Thursdays and Sundays. The possibility also exists for departures on Saturdays during the peak season.

From June, SAS will also expand the route between Arlanda and Kiruna with several routes during the summer holidays on the most popular travel days. Kiruna is a hot destination.
