Exhibition: ‘Deisgner i Focus 2013-2024’

Every year on 6 October, the 14 regional associations of Svensk Form present awards to the ‘Designer of the Year’. The award is given to people, organisations or companies who in various ways play a major role in the development of the design and design sector in their region. The exhibition ‘Designer in Focus 2013–2024’ shows the designers who have been awarded the ‘Designer of the Year in Norrbotten’ award and provides a deeper picture of different genres in design and design. It is also a collaboration across the county borders of Norrbotten and Västerbotten. In addition to seeing works by ‘Designer of the Year’, the opening also provides the opportunity to meet representatives from Svensk Form Norrbotten and the 2019 ‘Designer of the Year’ Lotta Lampa.

Britta Marakatt-Labba, an artist from Övre Soppero, is the 2024 ‘Designer of the Year’ in Norrbotten. With her embroidery, she has made a name for herself both within and outside Sweden. The exhibition features her artwork ‘In the Valley of Shadows’

The exhibition runs between April 3 and May 31, 2025
