In our traditional l\u00e1vvu, you\u2019ll enjoy an accommodation experience close to nature, with our reindeer as your nearest neighbours. The experience takes you back to the nomadic era, when we moved with our reindeer between summer and winter pastures and lived in l\u00e1vvus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A l\u00e1vvu is a traditional S\u00e1mi tent consisting of several poles and a tent canvas; the floor is covered with birch twigs and reindeer skins to sit and sleep on. In the centre is an \u00e1rran \u2013 a hearth \u2013 which provides warmth and is used for cooking. In our l\u00e1vvu, the hearth has been replaced by a wood-burning stove, and just like the traditional \u00e1rran, it needs to be stoked throughout the night to keep it burning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
