Free Guided Tour – Britta Marakatt-Labba at the Sámi Museum

Sámi everyday life and politics, historical events and mythological scenes come together in the acclaimed artist Britta Marakatt-Labba’s visual world. The exhibition features graphic prints based on her textile works, in which she weaves together personal experiences from life in Sápmi with issues of land, culture and climate.

For more than five decades, she has created a poetic and powerful narrative about the Sámi people and their struggle. The exhibition is a collaboration between the Kiruna Sámi Association and the Kin Museum of Contemporary Art.

In connection with the exhibition, Kin offers guided tours that deepen the understanding of Marakatt-Labba’s artistry and themes. The tours are free and are held in Swedish and English.
