Rental equipment
There are a variety of activities that you can do on your own. By renting equipment and ordering a lunch packet, you tailor your own tour.
We have well-prepared cross-country ski tracks that start right outside the reception, and are suitable for beginners and professionals alike. Every year, a great number of cross-country skiers come to the training camp at Camp Ripan. We can usually offer snow in some of the tracks already by the 15th of October.
We also have marked trails for snowshoeing, and if you choose to venture out after dark, you can rent a headlamp. If you just want to get out in the fresh air, you can take a walk to the Aurora Borealis Theatre or our Lappish hut to build a fire and wait for the Northern Lights. A kick sled is a great form of winter transportation, something you simply must try! Now we can even offer ice skate rentals.
